2005-03-04 VHCS 2.4 beta released

The new VHCS 2.4 beta has been officially released.

What is new in VHCS 2.4:
General:
- New look & feel
- New Usability for all the 3 levels
- Login => chage from crypt(); to md5();
- optional support system (ON / OFF for the vhcs system)
- Improvements for better performance (GUI and Engine)
- Improvements for better security (GUI and Engine)
- Some bugfixes (GUI and Engine)

Enduser Level
- htaccess management => users, groups and htaccess file management

Reseller Level
- edit PHP and CGI settings for domains
- recursive deletion of customer accounts

Admin Level
- user session management
- recursive deletion of accounts
- better multilanguage management concept
- export of language packs for easy sharing

Installation:
The install procedure and system requirement are the same. For more detail please read the vhcs documentation.

HowTo Update existing VHCS 2.2 to VHCS 2.4 Beta
1. Make backup of /var/www/vhcs2/

2. Replace all Files in /var/www/vhcs2

/gui
/engine

3. set the right permissions for engine and gui file

4. Update vhcs conf file in /etc/vhcs2/vhcs2.conf
You have to add

in the section for the GUI
